VANTOS EXPANDS EXECUTIVE TEAM
WITH APPOINTMENTS OF JOE MURRAY AND JONATHAN WEEKS
New Chief Customer Officer and Vice President of Engineering

SEATTLE, Wash., – September 17, 2008 — VANTOS, Inc., the global leader in the investigation management market, today announced the expansion of its management team with the addition of Joe Murray, Chief Customer Officer, and Jonathan Weeks, Vice President of Engineering. On the heels of successfully closing the Series B investment, these executive appointments will enable VANTOS to aggressively drive product and revenue milestones. These new hires underscore VANTOS' commitment to delivering on platform, product, and Playbook innovations and premier customer experience to VANTOS blue-chip customers. Murray and Weeks will operate from VANTOS' headquarters in Seattle, Wash.

Joe Murray, Chief Customer Officer
With over 20 years experience delivering leading edge solutions for CRM, e-Commerce and Digital Commerce for the enterprise, Murray has become an accomplished expert at delivering a world-class customer experience. Prior to joining VANTOS, Murray served as a VP Global Solutions Delivery for Qpass, Inc., where he developed and implemented customer-focused global account strategies. His responsibilities included driving high performance, global account teams that delivered content services, digital storefront management, system integration and customer support. Before his work at Qpass, Murray was VP Global Professional Services for Epiphany, Inc. and Partner at KPMG Consulting (BearingPoint), where he worked with Fortune 500 businesses, working closely with partners like Cisco and Seibel to design and implement next generation marketing and contact center solutions. Murray is active in the community, participating on the board for a youth-focused non-profit, Youth for Christ. Murray received his B.S. in Decision and Information Science at Santa Clara University.
Jonathan Weeks, Vice President, Engineering
A software engineering veteran of over 16 years, Jonathan Weeks brings extensive experience designing, building and integrating complex, scalable and distributed enterprise solutions. Having led teams through strategic acquisitions, Weeks possesses the engineering acumen and discipline required to grow startups as well as manage large, multi-product organizations. Most recently Weeks helped launch SkyTap, a pioneering cloud/utility computing startup. Prior to that he was Senior Director of Composite Application Management and Diagnostics for Hewlett Packard / Mercury Interactive where he lead an award winning team and achieved the prestigious leadership position in Gartner "Magic Quadrants" for the product. Prior to that, Weeks was vice president of Engineering at Performant, which was acquired by Mercury. Besides his experience building enterprise products, Weeks also brings valuable insight from inside the Fortune 500, having held senior leadership positions at Expeditors, Disney, and McCaw Cellular / AT&T Wireless.
Murray and Weeks join VANTOS' seasoned management team, which is comprised of executives who specialize in successfully launching new enterprise products in emerging markets:
- Tom Spadafore, CEO – A visionary, decisive and results-oriented leader, Spadafore is recognized for his ability to identify significant new market opportunities, build sound strategies and lead cross-functional and global teams for execution and measurable growth. Under his direction, VANTOS has established itself as the global leader in the new and rapidly expanding Investigation Management market. With over 20 years of experience leading and growing global organizations to achieve their strategic objectives and revenue milestones, Spadafore has been instrumental in the successful incubation and expansion of both startups and Fortune 1000 companies, including Reconnex, BrightMail, Netopia, NETCOM and Apple.
- Don Ledford, CTO – An industry veteran in software architecture, component assembly and systems, Don Ledford brings over two decades of computer engineering knowledge and expertise to the VANTOS team. Over the past ten years, he has made software architecture contributions to a variety of products, including CA's Paradigm software, which has resilience and applicability to this day. Ledford also has extensive experience in launching successful start-up enterprises, having co-founded Librius, Networx, and Planario, Inc.
- Randy Boroughs, Vice President, Products – A pioneer of successful startups, Randy Boroughs has executed marketing, product management and engineering strategies for over 25 years. Boroughs has deep security software expertise, having held executive positions at Aventail, the vision leader in the SSL VPN industry and Internet security systems, WatchGuard Technologies, among others.
- Raj Dodhiawala, Vice President, Marketing – Specializing in enterprise software, Raj Dodhiawala has over 20 years of experience in appliance marketing, product management, technology development and services. Dodhiawala has held senior management positions at a broad range of enterprise software organizations. While At Microsoft, he was the Chief Architect of the .Net Center of Excellence as well as the Program Co-Lead for the Net Effect program, both targeted to accelerate adoption of the .NET platform. At Cache Flow, Dodhiawala lead the Server Accelerator product effort, which remains a core component of the company's revenue mix.
- Ken Hines, PhD, Chief Scientist – Dr. Hines has over sixteen years of experience in research and development leadership. Dr. Hines founded multiple companies including Consystant and GraniteEdge Networks. As the Chief Scientist of Consystant, he led the effort to create a new development methodology and tool suite for distributed heterogeneous embedded systems, which was eventually sold to Intel. As the Chief Technology Officer of GraniteEdge, he led the effort to build a distributed network security analytic platform. Dr. Hines has been awarded patents on information security analytics and software development platforms, has spoken at BlackHat on information security analytics, and is a recipient of the Shaping Info Security award in 2006.
